and check out Hidden Cove Golf Course at Grayson Lake.The 18
hole, par 72 course snakes around a wooded area hugging the shore
of scenic Grayson Lake. Challenges abound as the course features
several ravines and blind approaches to the greens plus -- the
longest hole among the Kentucky Park system's courses! The course
will add yet another feature to the "Heart of the Parks"
making Grayson and Carter County even more desirable as a vacation
destination. |
THE FRONT NINE| No. 1 | Par 4 | a good starting hole, fairway bunker,
slight dogleg to the green. | | No.
2 | Par
4 | a
strong second shot with a 7 to 9 iron over a ravine leaves the
golfer a chip shot to the green | | No.
3 | Par
4 | the
golfer is faced with an uphill tee and second shot. Two bunkers
protect the green. | | No. 4 | Par 3 | This hole plays downhill
to a big, well-bunkered green. | | No.
5 | Par
5 | A
good driving hole, with fairway bunkers at the landing area for
the first shot, second shot and around the green. |
| No. 6 | Par 4 | From the elevated tee, the golfer
can't see the green. The lakeshore protects the right side of
the green. | | No. 7 | Par 4 | A fairly straight hole
with fairway bunkers and green bunkers to the golfer's left. |
| No. 8 | Par 3 | There's plenty of teeing area and
a big green on this hole, but watch for bunkers left of green. |
| No. 9 | Par 5 | At 640 yards from the back tee,
this is the longest hole in the park system. Fairway bunkers
demand precise tee and second shots. A wood is the typical club
of choice for a third shot, then a wedge to reach the green. |

THE BACK NINE |
| No. 10 | Par 4 | From the tee, it's uphill and over
the lake. Bunkers guard both sides of the green. |
| No. 11 | Par 4 | This hole has a dogleg to the left.
A medium to short second shot carries to the kidney-shaped green. |
| No. 12 | Par 5 | This 540-yard-hole offers scenic
lake views and a small, well bunkered green. |
| No. 13 | Par 3 | Another hole offering little room
for error, with several bunkers. | | No.
14 | Par
5 | The
first three shots are all uphill on this challenging hole that
features a tiered green. | | No.
15 | Par
4 | This
hole has a dogleg to the right. The second shot travels over
a creek to a tricky, little green. | | No.
16 | Par
3 | The
tee shot carries over a ravine to a double-tiered green. |
| No. 17 | Par 4 | This may be the toughest hole on
the course. From the back tee, the hole measures 448 yards. The
tee shot carries over a ravine, then the second shot is blind
to the green. | | No. 18 | Par 4 | This is a nice finishing
hole, with fairway bunkers and a pond on the right side of the
fairway. |
